Experimenting!

As I have a week off work-YAY!- I thought I'd do a bit of messing about! I've been trying to use up all the papers that I've got so I decided to try a bit of paper blending. I'm quite happy with the background effect and when i covered it with Crocor crackle pain it gave it a bit of a distressed look- you can't really see it in the photo. I'll probably not send this ATC anywhere because it's a mess-about but I'll definitely be trying the background again.

Quickie card

I needed a card in a hurry for a friend who sadly lost her grandad. She hates condolence cards, sympathy cards etc so I wanted a card that felt sad without saying it! I thought Moon Girl would be ideal-love this stamp!

Wedding invitations.

Finally I can sit down! I've been standing at the kitchen surfaces all day making the remainder of some wedding invitations I started a short while back. I still have the RSVP cards to do but I need to rest my swollen ankles now! This is the first time I've made invitations and it was a bigger responsibility than I imagined!

Birthday card

I don't know what it is but even though I have a year's warning that somebody's birthday is coming up, I always seem to be right on the last minute! This is my mum's birthday card for tomorrow. I wanted a vintagey look-hope she likes it!

Smile ATC

This is for a swap on UKScrappers.I had some backgrounds left from the In The Woods ATCs and really wanted to use the stamp of the girl again.(Paperbag Studios-fab stamps!). I finished it off with some Cosmic Shimmer paint and distress stickles.

Butterfly ATC

This is for a swap on UKScrappers which is all about butterflies!
I thought this would be easy.I have so many butterfly things but it's taken me ages to even come up with one ATC! Quite by accident though I discovered that if you brayer big and juicy over gesso then blot it off it dries with a chalky finish!

ATCs-Heal,Hope and Happiness

I did these for a swap on UKStampers. I had this image in my head of what I wanted but try as I might, I just couldn't get them to look the way I saw them in my head! I gave up trying in the end but couldn't bring myself to throw them away-I just love this stamp too much!

Quick card

A quickie hello card for my niece. It's one of my favourite stamps.I coloured my own background with distress ink reinker and a bit of perfect pearls in a spray.I love making my own because I can get the colour I want-and get messy at the same time!

ATCs

I made these two a while ago for a swap on UKScrappers and forgot all about them until today. The photos aren't very clear-poor quality mobile!-but they make me smile so I wanted to put them here!
I just couldn't resist the hat!

another quickie birthday card

Left it to the last minute again and had to make a very quick card for my nephew.Knowing he is a Toy Story fan made it all a bit easier to decide what to do!

ATCs

These three ATCs are for a swap on UKStampers. The theme was open, just each ATC had to be different. I raided my stamp box and found some that I'd forgotten about. It was good fun having a mess and I got to spray Shimmerz everywhere!

The background was done with Shimmerz spray with a few small pieces of paper used as masks. The girl is stamped and stuck over the top. There's a coating of rock candy stickles but the pic doesn't show that. I love this stamp of the girl and will be using it again soon I'm sure!

I found a spare bit of angelina fibres that I was going to throw and thought it'd make a good background. The image was stamped and coated with mod podge and the crown stuck on.

The background was done with Shimmerz spray with lighter ink around the outside. I stamped the image twice and stuck the bird on top. Couldn't resist a jaunty orange hat!

New baby card

The new baby caught me off guard by arriving on time so I had to rustle up a card pretty quickly! I remembered this stamp that I've had for ages and hardly ever think to use. I stamped it with tattered rose distress ink and stuck it to some angelina fibres. I was going to stick the princess crown to the baby's head but as I was in a rush I threaded it on ribbon instead.....I must be more organised and then I'll be prepared!

This is one of ten ATCs I made for a swap on UKScrappers based around bees and inspirational words. I don't have a bee stamp so I had to draw them (apologies for the poor state of my drawing!). The background is distress ink sprayed with vintage photo reinker. The title of the ATC is..' Tiddles always wanted to be a bee!'

Christmas card

I didn't get round to making many cards this year due to being in the middle of an assignment for uni. This is one I was pleased with because I got to use the bird from my Tim Holtz die-any excuse!I had so many stamps and papers for Christmas and was gutted not to have the time to use them. So, no more studying after June this year so that I have time to Christmas-it-up properly!

Wedding present

The first time I've ever dared to make a present for something so important. I was so pleased that it turned how out exactly as I envisaged it. The finished product had a photo of the happy couple in the centre over the lace but I forgot to take a photo of it!

Cards

I've not made many this year (oops!-last year!) because I stupidly signed up for a few modules and study got in the way. I'm posting a few of the ones that actually made it, and here's hoping that I get chance to make much more this year.

More ATCs

ATC for a swap that I did when I wanted to try using telephone directory paper for a background!
