Mothers' Day-All Sewn Up
Mothers' Day! Happens every year but still manages to catch me off guard. This year I had the ideal kit to make my mum's card with. As my mum's very into sewing I decided to use Sarah Hurley's new digi/hybrid kit, All Sewn Up. It's perfect for any sewing themes and has papers, embellishments and ...this is so exciting...now has matching sets of clear stamps for the stampers amongst us!
I'm not a big user of sketches for cards but came across this in a random internet visit the other day and liked it so gave it a go. I found it at Random Acts of Creativity.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure it was appreciated and enjoyed - it looks great.. on accasions I offer to buy a card for my Mum, but she still prefers made ones - I think she enjoys the thought that I bother!! Sue
ReplyDeleteThe card looks lovely. I like the hexagon patterns, since I'm partial to the odd bit of patchwork!

ReplyDeleteWonderful card. I hope your mum loved it.
ReplyDeletethis is a very trendy card Monica - the sewing theme is one of the top themes these days and i love the fish tail panel on your card and the bakers twine looks good when tied :)perhaps id ink the edges a bit to give the card panels a bit of definition :)
ReplyDeleteim not a big fan of card sketches myself. i usualy make my cards according to whatever comes to my mind :) but recently ive been trying to convince myself to use some sketches as i feel i keep making the same style cards non stop and id love to steer away into another direction now.
bet your mum loved it :)
