I did this page for the art journal CJ I'm doing on UKScrappers. I can't remember the exact theme but we had to write about how we approach days and this pretty much sums it up! Yes, I'm cynical- it's what gets me through the days!
The background was sprayed with Glimmer Mist and stamped over the top. I was pleased with it- until I wrote on it! The pen stopped working so I had to go over it quite a few times to make it stand out. In the end the only pen that worked was an old white one. Time to update my pen collection! Can anyone recommend a decent white pen that doesn't blot/dry out/leave a track when it's used?
I'm linking this over at Handmade Monday-please come along and play!
I love the colour palette that you have used with this, and the balloon stamp too.
ReplyDeleteTerrific page. I use a white pen by Signo and am really pleased with this make. xx
ReplyDeleteGreat page and an interesting way of looking at things!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours on this :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the saying you picked was fab and I love the serious looking gentlemen. Beautiful colours as well. Thanks for sharing.

I'd love to be able to make work like that :)
ReplyDeleteLovely! I use white uni-posca pens. The biggest problem with most pens seems to be when writing on a surface that isn't fully dry (one that feels dry but hasn't hardened). Not sure if that'll help, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that my new computer works and I'm able to visit all my friends in blogland again. You've been very busy and creative during the last time. So many wonderful works to see.
ReplyDeleteYour page looks wonderful, love the colors and images.
Lovely page. I really like the wording. Sorry can't help with the white pen. But Wendy seems to have come up with a name.
ReplyDeleteIs a great piece of work and I love the wording. Hope the good days far outweigh the 'other' days. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteGreat page, the background colours and patterns look fab!
ReplyDeleteReally interesting design - lots to look at and occupy the mind
ReplyDeleteFantastic page Sharon.

Fab journal page (you can't be a total cynic if you use pink and blue lol). Can't help with the pen, I'm afraid, as I destroy mine on a regular basis trying to write on top of paints etc.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page and I love the quote - made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteCan't beat a little cynicism. I like the combination of colours and image placement.
ReplyDeleteLove this page, especially the background! The photo is great! I love vintage/steampunk gentleman.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great page. I struggle with white pens too - they never seem to last long or work as well as I want them to, I find my Uni Posca pen works the best.
